Membership includes a license to use all our fonts for personal and commercial design work through the Fort app. When sharing files with clients or vendors, simply export final artwork as an embedded format (PDF), an image (PNG/JPG), or outlined vectors (SVG/Illustrator).
Creating logos, wordmarks, and brand identities is covered usage through your membership. Simply deliver final files as outlines and/or raster images so your client can use them freely.

Yes! An active membership includes a license to use all the fonts in the app similar to how you would if you'd purchased a Desktop License. This includes coverage for things like print and digital design, logos and brand designs, etc. Check out the EULA for more details.
Yes! Whenever we release a new font family, it will automatically be added to the app. You can activate and use any new fonts instantly through the app. No license purchase necessary, no extra fees—just more fun fonts at your fingertips!
Yes. Once fonts are activated through the app you will be able to continue using them until you deactivate them or your membership expires.
Yes! Webfont hosting is now included in your membership.
Open a family’s Webfonts panel in the app, paste the one line it gives you into your site’s header, and add the addresses the font is allowed to load on. We host and serve the files, so there’s nothing for you to upload. Your membership covers up to 5 domains you own or control, and 1M pageviews/mo.
Your webfonts keep loading for as long as your membership is active. If it lapses, they stop at the end of the period you’ve already paid for and your site falls back to its backup font. Your domains stay saved, so resubscribing brings them right back.
Need the fonts on a site that outlives your membership, like one you’re handing off to a client? A retail Web License is perpetual and self-hosted. Members get 20% off all retail licensing. Your code is on the Rewards page in the app.
Font files (e.g. OTF, WOFF, etc.) are not accessible via the app. If your client needs to use the fonts directly, they'll need their own license—whether through purchasing a retail license or their own membership to the app depending on their needs.

We’re starting with macOS for now. If you'd like the app to support other operating systems (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Windows, etc.), please get in touch to let us know!
You may cancel your membership at any time—which means that it will not automatically renew and you won’t be billed again. If you cancel, your membership remains active until the current period has ended. You may use the app and any of the fonts in it until then.
Any work you create using the fonts while you're an active member is covered by our Application EULA. When in doubt, check the EULA out.
Framer yes, Canva no.
Fonts activated through the app work in any desktop design tool that reads your system fonts (e.g. Figma, Affinity, Illustrator, Pages). Web-based tools can’t see fonts installed on your computer.
Framer has a slot for custom code, so your membership webfonts work there. Paste the embed code from the Webfonts panel and add your Framer address to the domain list. Canva has no way to take custom CSS, so it needs an uploaded font file instead.
For Canva you’d pick up a Desktop License for that family, which gets you the file(s) you'd need to upload. Members get 20% off all retail licensing. See the Rewards page in the app for more info.
No. Sharing your account or membership credentials with anyone else is a serious breach of our application's EULA. We've positioned memberships to be accessible to as many professional designers as possible without sacrificing value for them or us. If you need financial assistance, please contact us.
Yes! Currently-enrolled students are eligible for a free membership.
To get your student membership started, please send us the following:
- The dates of your academic program
- Proof of enrollment, like a photo of your student ID or a class schedule with your name
In the meantime, download the app and start using the fonts for free. We can apply your student discount after you've signed up.
The same discount is available to teachers if the Fort app is provided to their class. Contact us to discuss setting up your class, teaching with the Fort app, or any other questions.
Download the app and try all our fonts for free. Without a membership, fonts are activated as trial versions with "Trial" in the family name, so you can set type, test layouts, and see how they behave in your own work.
