Questions

How do I access previous purchases or downloads from your old site?

Our site has recently migrated to a new licensing system. We are currently in the process of migrating over previous orders. In the meantime, if you need to access your old account, you can do so at old.fortfoundry.com.

Where can I find more info on your licenses?

For a brief overview or to dive into the nitty gritty License PDFs, head over to our Licensing page.

I bought a web license. How do I use the fonts with my website?

You'll need to first upload the .woff and .woff2 files provided by Fort to your website. Next, you’ll want to use an @font-face statement in your site's CSS to call those font files. Finally in the CSS, you can then utilize the font-family statement to style headings, paragraphs, or classes with the fonts.

I’m an independent designer or agency working with a client. Do I or my client need to own the fonts in designs that I create for them?

Your Client should have the proper license for the fonts. They may share the fonts with you by treating you as an independent third-party doing work on their behalf within the License, or they may treat you as one of the Users within their License.

Can I modify fonts I’ve purchased from Fort Foundry?

You may not modify the actual font file(s) in any way or use them to make new fonts, or have anyone do this for you. You may convert the font to outlines in a software program like Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, etc. and alter those letterforms to create static custom typography (e.g. a logo, lettering, etc.). If you’re interested in custom lettering or a custom version of any of our retail fonts, please reach out here hi@fortfoundry.com.

Can I use Fort fonts on multiple websites I own?

Yes. By purchasing a Webfont License, you may use the fonts on any and all websites you or your company owns. The total pageviews per month of your license should not be exceeded across all websites. For example, if you own two websites, one which has 30K Pageviews per Month and another which has 10k Pageviews per Month, then you would be covered with the 50K Pageviews per Month licensing tier for Webfonts. Please note: You or your company must own the Website domains—a third party managing your site(s) cannot use a license they own.

I purchased a license, but now need more coverage (more users, pageviews, etc.). How do I upgrade?

Please reach out to hi@fortfoundry.com and we'll get you taken care of.

Can I get a refund?

Due to the nature of fonts, all sales of Fort fonts are final and will not be refunded or returned.
